Functional GI Summit 2024

A Root Cause Approach to Chronic Diseases

You may have heard the terms 'leaky gut' or 'gut dysbiosis.'

Recently published studies have reported that changes to our microbiome and gut barrier and function are associated with metabolic, inflammatory, and chronic disease.

A deeper understanding of the connection between our gut and metabolic, endocrine, immune, nervous, and cardiovascular systems is essential to addressing chronic conditions and achieving good health.

Unfortunately, this topic is not taught in medical schools and is not addressed by healthcare providers in conventional medicine.

The results... Many patients continue to struggle with chronic conditions.

A Special & Comprehensive Summit on…

  • The microbiome in health and disease
  • Tight junctions and the impact of environmental chemicals, medication, and foods
  • How changes in gut integrity lead to inflammation and increase the risk of autoimmunity
  • A review of Functional Medicine GI lab tests in the evaluation of gut microbiome and intestinal permeability
  • Treatment protocols using clinical nutrition and evidence-based herbal medicine
